Lyttelton is the largest port in the South Island

Around 2% of New Zealand's log exports leave from Port Lyttelton – that is more than $89 million of value to New Zealand!

Nearly 4% of our sawn timber products also leave from Lyttelton – another $36 million in export value.

Wood is just one of many products that are exported from Lyttelton – others include dairy products, meat and wool, and fruit and vegetables.
