Eastland Port can process 3 million tonnes of logs per year –and growing

Eastland Port in Gisborne is New Zealand’s second largest exporter of logs, and the country’s most efficient logging port.

It can process 3 million tonnes of wood per year but is gearing up to handle even more to keep up with the boom in the local forestry industry.

Not only will the infrastructure development increase capacity, it will also unlock the opportunity to have containers on port to support the wider East Coast region.
